“Hey, Tracy, what do you think of my newly-bought glasses?” my friend Johanna asks me on the way to classroom. What a beautiful pair of rimless glasses. To tell the truth, the rimless glasses are very fabulous and its style is in accordance with my taste. In other words, I like it very much. I speak highly of her choice and ask her where she buys it. Johanna is very happy to hear my comments and willing to share her shopping experience with me. But the bell rings and we have to take the class. We decide to talk about it after class and say goodbye in a hurry. Her seat is not far from mine and I can see her eyeglasses clearly from my seat. I don’t think I am a qualified friend because I don’t realize the fact that she has changed her eyeglasses until she asks me that question. I am obsessed in my own study and pay little attention to other things happening around me. I don’t think it is a healthy lifestyle because I have missed so many interesting stories and my friends deem that I am too indifferent. Her new glasses are totally different from her previous one, which symbolizes that she is making a change.
Johanna is always very happy and open-minded. I admire her taste but I, myself, do not show strong interest in following suit. Her rimless glasses seem to stir up my curiosity though I don’t care much about the latest trend of glasses. I am also a glasses wearer but I only regard the glasses as a tool. Good glasses are those can function well. As for the design, I don’t care. But this time, Johanna’s rimless glasses change my point of view to some extent. I think I need to make a change as well since the glasses have been with me for so many years already.
